Position: TOR of HR Manager/Head
Key responsibilities:
  • Co-develop JPGSPH’s long-term Strategy, Vision, and Mission with
  • Dean and Senior Management.
  • Co-develop & co-facilitate Implementation of 10 – 15 Year HR Strategy Plan with Dean
  • Contribute in formulation and implementation of Employee Handbook, HR policies and procedures for the school and ensure these are up to date and legally compliant.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of HR Strategy with HR staff and Senior Management.
  • Collaborate with BRAC HR for establishing and finalizing job description and salary structure. Also ensure all job descriptions are up to date, along with assisting in creating new ones, as and when required.
  • Establish and audit appropriate Finance Strategy in synergy with Finance In-charge and Senior Management.
  • Develop, Guide and Monitor Implementation of Advocacy Services Strategy with Advocacy Director / Manager.
  • Co-Develop and support Application of Education Services Strategy as required by Dean.
  • Assist Dean to identify and network with global and local PH Institutes to recruit high quality faculty.
  • Supervise on time preparation of list of employee for yearly appraisal, prepare evaluation form based on job description and notify supervisor accordingly. Monitor and supervise response from respective supervisor.
  • Monitor, guide and oversee the newly recruited HR team members in each of their tasks in detail and address their queries as and when required.
  • Ensure proper recruitment, selection process and coordinate with respective project coordinator/ PI for final selection. Also check, review and determine the salary and designation for selected candidates.
  • Coach, train and mentor staffs with the aim of strengthening their capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing professional development guidance.
  • To coordinate with senior management in developing, establishing, adapting and modifying organization structure, benefit packages, HR manual and other policy documents in alignment of BRACU and BRAC HR policy and procedure.
  • Lead performance management, talent assessment, and effective employee relationships.
  • Assist Dean to ensure ETRA, HR, Marketing and Finance are integrated and aligned with 10 – 15 Years Strategy Plan.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree from any reputed University with 8-10 years’ experience in the area of HR, administration and implementation management, preferably in University, NGO, Research Organization or multinational organization.
  • Strong budgetary knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience in organizational strategy development.
  • Must have experience in managing and leading large teams of people.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in challenging situation and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both Bengali and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office Packages.
